Holdings in North American Libraries

A number of libraries are collecting moving image related books and periodicals in Japanese. One can use WorldCat and other online databases to search for regularly cataloged materials, but not everything in a library’s holdings appear in their regular catalog. There are special collections or not-yet-cataloged materials. This section tries to introduce a few of these. We also thought noting a few of each library’s regularly cataloged “jewels” (rare books or periodicals) would help researchers zero in on interesting materials.
